Dear colleagues, authors, readers and subscribers of “The Nizhny Novgorod Education” journal!

In 2022 the periodicity of the magazine will be changed: five issues will be published.

We remind you that we have also changed the requirements for the authors of articles regarding accompanying information. Thus, the list of sources used is expanded to 25 and is drawn up in accordance with Federal Standart 7.0.100-2018.

In addition, the topics of the problems that are considered in the journal have expanded to:

• educational policy;

• theory and methodology of pedagogical science;

• adult education, continuous domestic and foreign education;

• management of educational systems;

• education in the digital world;

• monitoring and diagnostics of education.

2022 is rich in anniversaries. This year we are celebrating:

210 years since the birth of Alexander Ivanovich Herzen (1812-1870);

185 years since the birth of Nikolai Fedorovich Bunakov (1837-1905) – who is a theorist and an expert of elementary education; since the birth of Petr Frantsevich Lesgaft (1837-1909) - a teacher and a doctor, one of the founders of school hygiene and medical and pedagogical control in physical education;  since the birth of Lev Nikolaevich Modzalevsky (1837-1896) – a teacher, a colleague and a follower of K. D. Ushinsky, children's poet, historian of pedagogy;

165 years since the birth of Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935) – a scientist, a teacher, a philosopher, and an author of space philosophy;  since the birth of Konstantin Nikolaevich Wentzel (1857-1947) - the author of one of the first in the world "Declaration of the Child’s Rights of the Child" (1917); since the birth of Vladimir Mikhailovich Bekhterev (1857-1927) – a neuropathologist, a psychiatrist, a physiologist, a psychologist and a founder of the first experimental psychology laboratory in Russia;

105 years since the birth of the Soviet teacher and didactic Isaac Yakovlevich Lerner (1917-1996);

95 years since the birth of Viktor Fedorovich Shatalov (1927-2020) - an innovative teacher, the author of about 200 pedagogical discoveries.

In order to recall the life and work of outstanding scientists - teachers, psychologists, philosophers, - there is a heading "Anniversaries" in the section "From the history of public education" in our journal.
